After more than 30 years of manufacturing, Saul Mineroff Electronics, Inc. has developed a truly portable and rugged microphone amplifier for field use. We have incorporated all of the features that have been requested by various ornithologists and recording specialists throughout the world. The unit enables the user to adjust the gain level from +12 db to 36 dB in increments of 12 db for the utmost desirable record level. The SME-BA4 is housed in a hardened nickel/silver case which not only makes the unit rugged under all either conditions but also eliminates RF interference and hum. The attached cables use locking military grade XLR connectors to ensure proper connection between the microphone and recorder. The SME-BA4 incorporates an on/off switch and is powered by a single 9 volt battery which will power the unit for 150 hours.
