Saul Mineroff Electronics, Inc. (SME) is a family-owned and operated business that has provided professional quality recording equipment for over 40 years. We have been manufacturing & selling recording equipment worldwide for various applications in the fields of ornithology, herpetology, marine biology and general environmental recording.

SME also developed some of the most widely used equipment in the field of natural recordings including the widely used line of SME-BA microphone amplifiers, Parabolic dishes, Field Playback Speakers as well as all inclusive recording packages for various recording applications.

We also modify existing equipment and tweak it for better results for recording as well. ex. The ever popular Sony TCM-5000EV Modified Bird Version Recorder from the 1980's

We are not simply interested in selling equipment, but in offering helpful advice to help them make the right decision. When Saul was a young boy growing up in the streets of Brooklyn NY, he always had an interest in electronics, especially in the field of audio. In the 1950's, he worked with the first wire recorders and in the 1960's Saul started modifying and supplying recording systems to various universities and nature tour groups to meet their specific applications. Today, Saul is very involved in his business developing new information gathering devices and keeping alert of the emerging technology in all areas of electronics. Saul is a lifetime member of the Audio Engineering Society (A.E.S), Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (I.E.E.E.) as well as a world renowned audio expert.

Growing up, Andrew always had an appreciation of Music as well as the sounds of natural recordings. As a young child, Andrew was always interested in nature recording and attending shows at the Museum of Natural History. After graduating at the University of Hartford CT, he decided on developing the Nature Division of Saul Mineroff Electronics, Inc. In his spare time, Andrew and his family enjoy camping, hiking as well as playing acoustic guitar.

Michael, a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University NJ, is accomplished in the field of business and finance. He enjoys dealing with customers as well as research and development of new products. During his free time, he enjoys mountain biking with his family.
